Garmin’s latest Fenix range

Garmin is a major player in the sports wearable world. Whether you’re looking to rock a Fenix multi-sport watch, a Forerunner GPS running aid, a golf buddy or just an everyday activity tracker – Garmin has you covered.

“Garmin has transitioned from sat-nav behemoth to sports brand and you only have to line-up at the start of a race or event to see how pervasive Garmin’s devices are,” says wearable tech expert James Stables. “Garmin has put a lot of effort into making its devices more stylish but also adding smart features such as weather apps, the ConnectIQ app store and smartphone notifications across every member of its huge line-up.”

The good news is, if you’re not already a signed up member of Team Garmin, now is the perfect time to get involved. The company has slashed prices on its range on Amazon for Black Friday with big reductions on a plethora of different devices.

Here’s a pick of the top Garmin deals to be had on Amazon right now.

Garmin Vivoactive 3

One of the latest Garmin devices, the Vivoactive is the company’s flagship smartwatch and is a genuine Apple Watch rival. Packing all the regular sports tracking smarts you’d expect from a top-end Garmin, you’ll also get smartwatch notifications and contactless payment through the new Garmin Pay.

Garmin Fenix 5

Garmin’s Fenix series is the go-to range for serious athletes looking to test their tech as much as they test themselves. The Fenix 5 series comes in three designs: the 47mm Fenix 5, with 24 hours in GPS mode; the 42mm Fenix 5S, aimed at female adventurers; and the top-of-the-range 51mm Fenix 5X that comes with pre-loaded maps, has a sapphire lens and boasts Wi-Fi. All three are waterproof to 100 metres and there’s a three-axis compass on board, as well as a gyroscope and barometric altimeter, while GPS and GLONASS connectivity means accurate tracking won’t be an issue.
